This 8 hour course is offered to all Technician Level III Emergency Responders with previous documented training within the last twelve months. The course meets the annual requirements of 29 CFR, 1910.120 (OSHA). If you haven't met the annual requirement, you must be retrained for 24 or 40 hours, as per 29 CFR 1910.120 (OSHA).
The material covered in the Hazardous Materials Annual Refresher Course places emphasis on quality "hands-on" training. In addition, any new regulations will be covered in depth.
In order to ensure the program has met its goal and the students are fully qualified as a Technician Level III Responder, all students will be given a pre-test and post-test. In addition, each students skills will be evaluated during each field evolution. Minimum written test scores are 70% while field evolutions require 100% compliance as determined by each instructor. Certificates will be issued to all students meeting this criteria.
