The hot tapping process allows you to drill a hole into a full or partially full vessel (tank car, cargo tank, pipeline, etc.). This is accomplished by securing (usually by welding) a special tapping nozzle and valve onto the vessel and drilling into and through the sidewall. Thorough knowledge of the process, vessel involved, and physical characteristics of the materials to be off-loaded are vital to the safety of this operation, and will be covered.
Hands-On training utilizing our custom-modified cargo tanker (shown above) will ensure that everyone has performed the process and can do it again in the field.
