These eight hour courses were designed for hands-on training and are
tailored to the unique concerns that are involved with confined space
entry and rescue. The program will cover 29 CFR 1910.146 (OSHA)
permit-required confined space and 29 CFR 1910.147 (OSHA), Lock-Out /
Tag-Out. This comprehensive course will include a review of rescue
equipment and supplies, rescue techniques, training requirements, and
performance testing. The course will cover the following:
- Preparing the vessel for entry ( cleaning etc. )
- Lock-Out / Tag-Out
- Blanking
- Atmospheric testing
- Protective clothing
- Safety equipment required for entry and work
- Permitting
- Communications
- Air line respiratory
- SCBA
- Tank entry
- Confined space rescue

In order to ensure the program has met its goal
and the students are fully qualified in Confined Space Entry and/or
Confined Space Rescue as per 29 CFR 1910.146 (OSHA), all students will
be given a pre-test and post-test based on the previous activities. In
addition, each students skills will be evaluated during each field
evolution. Minimum written test scores are 70% while field evolutions
require 100% compliance as determined by each instructor. Certificates
will be issued to all students meeting this criteria.
