This 8 hour hands-on course will provide guidance in proper loading and load distribution. It also covers the application, use, and limitations of the most commonly used load restraint systems, including the following:

• Dunnage
• Load Bars
• Nylon and Steel Strapping
• Airbags
• Void Fillers

This course meets the requirements of the following regulations:

• 49 CFR Parts 173, 174, 175, 176, 179 (D.O.T.)
• Association of American Railroads (A.A.R.) Pamphlet #6

In order to ensure the program has met its goal and the students are fully qualified in Loading, Blocking, and Bracing, all students will be given a pre-test and post-test. In addition, each students skills will be evaluated during each field evolution. Minimum written test scores are 70% while field evolutions require 100% compliance as determined by each instructor. Certificates will be issued to all students meeting this criteria.
